Local winery plans amphitheatre, restaurant

KAMLOOPS — The owners of the Monte Creek Winery have big plans for their property just east of Kamloops.

A new application going before the Thompson-Nicola Regional District Board of Directors this week details a proposed 500-seat amphitheatre, restaurant, and space dedicated to hosting weddings and parties.

The owners say the winery has already become popular with tourists, and this development will only enhance that.
