KAMLOOPS — Inland Glass is confirming a person died at its Kamloops headquarters this morning.

A spokesperson for the company would not offer any further details.

A message on Inland’s telephone answering service states the business is closed for the day.

The BC Ambulance Service confirms it sent two ground ambulances to Inland at about 7:45 this morning, but did not transport anyone to hospital.

Calls placed to the BC Coroners Service have yet to be returned.

A spokesperson for Worksafe BC says one of the agency’s prevention officers attended the business this morning after “a male collapsed.” It’s unclear whether the collapse was due to a medical issue or something workplace-related.

CFJC Today will bring you more details as they become available.
