B.C. Junior Curling Championship begins in Kamloops

KAMLOOPS - The B.C. Junior Curling Championship begins today at the Kamloops Curling Club, with eight men's and eight women's rinks.

There is only one from Kamloops ---- skipped by Corryn Brown, the 2013 Canadian Junior Champion.

There is one other Kamloops player in the playdowns.

Steven Schafthuizen plays second on the Grand Forks rink skipped by Zane Bartlett.

The opening draw is at 2pm.

Corryn Brown will play her first game in draw two, tonight at 7:30 against Alysha Buchy from Kimberley.

The teams will play a round robin with the top four advancing to Page Playoffs.

The winners will represent B.C. at the Canadian Junior Championships next month in Stratford, Ontario
