KAMLOOPS — RCMP responded to a report of a robbery at Kipp Malory drug store at 3rd avenue and Victoria street this morning before 9 am.

Corporal Cheryl Bush says a male who is described as being in his twenties, wearing dark colored jeans, a black jacket, black hoodie, black ball cap, black scarf and tan colored work boots, entered the story presenting a firearm.

Bush says the firearm presented in the incident was left at the scene and shortly after determined by police to be an imitation.

The male fled the area on a red bike, making off with about $200 according to the owner of the store, Kristina Gifford.

"It's disturbing. I've been here for over 15 years and nothing like that has ever happened before. We're all a bit shaken"
