Highway contractor recognized

KAMLOOPS — VSA Highway Maintenance, the company that maintains the Coquihalla Highway between the Logan Lake turnoff and Hope has been named the Contractor of the Year by the provincial Ministry of Transportation.

The award is for VSA’s work in the Nicola Service Area near Merritt.

A ministry news release says VSA “won the award based on their continued focus on building relationships within the local communities – including excellent communication with the public and key stakeholders.”

The release also cites VSA’s innovation in its beet juice production plant and liquid application program.
