KAMLOOPS -- It could be an earlier than expected opening up at Harper Mountain this year.

General Manager Norm Daburger says with 45 centimetres at the top of the ski hill this month is looking like one of the best November's on record.

Daburger says "We've had an above average snowfall allowing for a firmly packed base. We just need a little bit of soft stuff on top".

Harper Mountain was scheduled to open December 12th, 2015 but if the good conditions continue it could open a week earlier on the 5th.

Daburger adds "we're always hopeful to open for our customers as soon as possible. Once there's a little more snow, we should be ready to go."

Daburger is optimistic for a longer season this year after an unseasonably warm Winter in 2014.
