City to request Federal Panel Review on Ajax

Kamloops City Council has voted in favour of lobbying the new Federal Environment Minister, for a panel review on the proposed Ajax Copper-Gold mine. 

The past two Environment Minister’s have denied the City’s request for a review, but Councillor Dieter Dudy brought forward a motion to try for a third time. Council voted unanimously this afternoon, to support that motion and ask Catherine McKenna for an appeal for a Federal Panel review on the project.
