Two years later Collin Shirley is making the trade that brought him to Kamloops from Kootenay for Tim Bozon look pretty good. The 19-year old Saskatoon native has been on a recent scoring tear with six goals and nine point in the last four games.

Kamloops native and New York Rangers draft pick Ryan Gropp is one of the top scorers for the Seattle Thunderbirds.

Gage Quinney was a late scratch with a lower body injury — Garrett Pilon was moved to centre between Sideroff and Shirley.

After 60 minutes the game was tied 3-3, so both teams faced off in 3-3 sudden death overtime.
