RCMP and BC Transit are investigating after a Kamloops bus driver was assaulted yesterday.

It happened October 27th around 5pm, just after the driver had pulled the bus over at a stop on Lansdowne Street near 4th Avenue.

BC Transit spokesman Mike Russell says the assault followed a dispute over fares and adds the driver was treated for minor injuries and released from hospital.

Kamloops RCMP say the suspect is likely in his 20s, white, six feet tall with brown hair and broad shoulders. He was wearing a dark green jacket, camo pants and a white toque at the time. If you have any more information on the incident please call Kamloops RCMP.
