Fire destroys Sun Peaks house under construction

A house under construction is no more after a fire Friday night in Sun Peaks. Mayor Al Raine says neighbors indicated smoke was coming from the area earlier in the day but says flames were visible around 7:30 PM. Raine says the fire crew got there quickly and within 10 minutes had it under control, however he says the structure appears to be totally destroyed. Raine says the fire department will be back on site today to determine the cause of the fire.
