A legal battle between former PGA Tour winner Richard Zokol and a highly acclaimed golf course near Merritt  has come to an end. Last year the golfer sued the owners of Sagebrush Golf and Sporting Club over what he said were unpaid design fee’s of $200,000. But the course owners countersued Zokol for 42 million dollars and claimed he mismanaged the project. Zokol co-designed the course. He confirmed to CFJC this morning that the two parties reached an agreement and both the civil claim and counterclaim have been discontinued. In a written statement, Zokol says he is pleased the dispute is over and is hopeful Sagebrush can realize it’s potential in the future.

On social media Sagebrush states they are working to complete the sale of the course and plan to reopen in April.
