Medical Marijuana Facility Rezoning Going to Public Hearing

A rezoning application clearing the way for the city’s first ever medical marijuana grow op will go to public hearing.

Kamloops council quickly approved the hearing at its regular meeting this afternoon.

Councillor Tina Lange asked if this is the first of several applications, but Development and Engineering Director Marvin Kwiatkowski says it doesn’t appear that way.

The property in question is in the Gateway Industrial Park
