Weapon Complaint at Aberdeen McDonalds

One man was arrested this morning after RCMP rushed to the Aberdeen McDonald’s restaurant, responding to calls of a man carrying a gun. Callers reported the man had an assault rifle sticking out of his backpack. When officers got there the man fled on a bicycle before police took him into custody.

Constable Jason Epp says the gun turned out to be a fake but that was not easily determined. Epp notes the man also had some small quantities of drugs on him. He was wanted on outstanding warrants already and will now face new charges related to this incident.
