Pharrell Williams Lego Biopic

Pharrell Williams‘ idea for a biopic about his life is as inventive as his music. The multi-Grammy winning musician shared a trailer for his brand new movie, Piece By Piece, which tells Williams’ creative journey through the use of Lego animations. The biopic, which features new music by Pharrell, is directed by Oscar-winning filmmaker Morgan Neville (20 Feet from Stardom) and is due in theaters on October 11. “I didn’t know what it was going to be, but it was going to be interesting and I was completely in,” says Neville. “Everyone was doing [biopics] at the time, and I was like, ‘Hell no.’ I never want to do what everybody else is doing,” Williams recalls about his agent’s proposal to do a movie about his life. “But when he finally said the magic words, ‘You can do it any way you want,’ I knew deep down inside that I wanted to do it through Lego.”
