Olivia Munn’s Cancer Battle
Olivia Munn opened up about her breast cancer battle, stating that her main motivation for documenting her journey was her son, Malcolm. “If I didn’t make it, I wanted my son, when he got older, to know that I fought to be here. That I tried my best,” she said in Good Morning America interview. “You want the people in your life–you want the people that maybe don’t understand what’s going on right to know that you did everything you could to be here.” After undergoing a double mastectomy, hysterectomy, and oophorectomy, she found renewed energy and strength. “Surprisingly, I’ve only cried twice. I guess I haven’t felt like there was time to cry. My focus narrowed and I tabled any emotions that I felt would interfere with my ability to stay clear-headed.”
