Candidate list released for Tk̓emlúps te Secwépemc 2024 chief and council election

Candidate lists have been released for the Tk̓emlúps te Secwépemc chief and council election.

Rosanne Casimir (incumbent Kukpi7) and Joshua Gottfriedsen are the two candidates for chief.

There are 13 candidates for seven councillor positions: Marie Baptiste, Thomas Blank, Versal Camille, Nikki Fraser, Boyd Gottfriedson, Cam Gottfriedson, Chad Gottfriedson, June Jules, Sonny Joseph Leonard, Daylin Malloy, David Manuel, Vicki W. Manuel and Myron Ray Alphonse Thomas.

The election for both chief and council will be held on Nov. 9, with an advanced poll scheduled to open on Nov. 2.

Electronic voting will be available from Nov. 3 to Nov. 8.
