After a successful three-week reign, Deadpool & Wolverine slid to the No. 2 position, adding another $29 million to its earnings. The film’s global total now stands at $1.142 billion, ranking it as the 9th highest-grossing movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It Ends With Us, starring Blake Lively, debuted at No. 3, generating a respectable $24 million. Despite being available on premium video on demand, Twisters claimed the No. 4 spot, amassing $9.8 million domestically and $333.4 million worldwide. The 15th anniversary release of the stop-motion classic Coraline rounded out the top 5, earning $8.9 million for the weekend and $11.3 million since its Thursday opening.
