Cher’s Joining the Parade

Nov 2, 2023 | 6:03 AM

The 97th Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade on November 23rd will conclude with a performance by Cher, right around the time that Santa Claus appears. The annual holiday event will start a half-hour earlier on NBC this year, at 8:30 a.m. ET, in order to accomodate a stacked lineup of performers including Jon Batiste, ENHYPEN, Brandy, David Foster and Katharine McPhee, En Vogue, Pentatoinx, Chicago, Paul Russell, Bell Biv DeVoe, Drew Holcomb and The Neighbors, Ashley Park, Jesse James Decker, Paul Russell, Amanda Shaw and Alex Smith and Manuel Turizo. It’s no surprise that Cher was chosen as a parade headliner this year; her first Christmas album, simply titled Christmas, was released October 20th, and Believe‘s forthcoming 25th anniversary re-release is set to drop on November 3rd.
