THE FIRST TRAILER FOR PEACOCK’S BEL-AIR DEBUTS: Peacock dropped the first trailer for Bel-Air on Monday (January 10th). A spin-off from the 1990 sitcom The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, the show stars Jabari Banks as Will and Adrian Holmes as his Uncle Phil. Will Smith, who starred in the original, will act as the narrator and executive producer of the show. Director Morgan Cooper said, “At its core, Bel-Air is a celebration of the Black experience through the perspective of a family.” E! News reports that the first three episodes of the series will be available for streaming on Sunday, February 13th.

SAVANNAH GUTHRIE TESTS POSITIVE FOR COVID-19: Just as her co-host, Hoda Kotb, returned to the Today show after recovering from COVID-19, Savannah Guthrie tested positive for the virus. Guthrie joked to Kotb that they are “trading places.” According to E! News, Savannah said, “I’m working from home, you’re back in the studio. You have a negative test for COVID, I just tested positive for COVID. So, here we go!”

GREY’S ANATOMY IS RENEWED FOR A 19TH SEASON: Ellen Pompeo might be ready for Grey’s Anatomy to end, but the show will still go on. ABC announced on Monday (January 10th) that the medical drama will return for its 19th season. E! News reports that creator Shonda Rhimes said, “I couldn’t be more excited that we get to keep telling the stories of Meredith, Bailey, Richard and all of the other doctors at Grey Sloan Memorial for another season.”

THE FINAL TRAILER FOR JACKASS FOREVER IS RELEASED: People reports that Paramount Pictures and MTV Studios released the final trailer for Jackass Forever on Monday (January 10th). The film will feature Jackass originals such as Johnny Knoxville, Steve-O, Chris Pontius, Dave England, and Wee Man performing more outrageous stunts. The film was scheduled to hit theaters in October 2021, but it has been moved to February 4th, 2022, due to COVID-19.
