KAMLOOPS — With many B.C residents still trying to get home after flooding and landslides shut down major highways, several airlines have added flights or made additional seats available on flights to and from Kamloops.

Kamloops Airport notes on social media that several of the airlines that operate flights out of Fulton Field have increased capacity, or added support flights.

Yesterday (Nov. 17), Air Canada stated in a tweet that it added more seats to and from Kelowna for November 17-19, and to and from Kamloops to respond to the highway closures, and help move emergency medical supplies.

Pacific Coastal also says it has been working on providing additional support flights to and from Kamloops, Kelowna, and Penticton.

Meantime Central Mountain Air made changes to its schedule to accommodate those who may have been affected by the flooding. The airline has also added additional flights this Thursday (Nov. 18) and Friday (Nov. 19).

And WestJet has added more flights to its schedule within B.C, alongside bringing larger aircraft onto routes to accommodate increased demand, and make more seats available. WestJet says in a statement online it has temporarily reduced walk-up and online prices by more than 50 per cent on impacted routes.

Kamloops Airport notes that passengers should check with airlines directly for details on flights and booking requests.
