More than one thousand people carried signs and rallied against mandatory vaccinations in a protest outside Kelowna General Hospital today.

Hospital staff who were watching said they felt disrespected by the protest which was among a number in Canada organized by a group called Canadian Frontline Nurses.

The protest drew criticism from a range of politicians, including Kelowna Mayor Colin Basran who called it disrespectful, MP Dan Albas and Kelowna-Mission MLA Renee Merrifield who questioned holding it outside the hospital.
