KANYE WEST LOCKS DOWN RIGHTS TO GOD SAVE AMERICA: Kanye West has filed legal docs to lock down the phrase “God Save America,” which he plans to put on apparel in a final effort to lock up his long-shot bid for president, TMZ reports. He released his debut campaign ad Monday, three weeks ahead of the election. (TMZ)

JOHN LITHGOW RELEASES BOOK: Actor John Lithgow has released a book off poems called “Trumpty Dumpty Wanted a Crown.” He illustrated it himself. Lithgow told Alan Alda during a 92nd Street Y talk that when he was a young man, “if anybody asked me ‘What do you want to be when you grow up?’ I would say an artist.” (Page Six)
