TIMOTHEE CHALAMET TO HIT LONDON STAGE: Timothee Chalamet is making his debut on London’s West End next year in a revival of 4000 Miles. The King‘s Chalamet will appear alongside The Crown‘s Eileen Atkins in Amy Herzog‘s Pulitzer nominated play, which is set in New York.

POM KLEMENTIEFF JOINS MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE: Pom Klementieff, known for playing Mantis in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 and multiple Avengers movies, has signed on to star in Mission: Impossible. She joins fellow Marvel alum Hayley Atwell, and Tom Cruise for two upcoming films, the seventh and eighth installments in the franchise.

TV GETTING MORE DIVERSE: According to a new study from the Directors Guild of America, the TV industry has made major strides in terms of diversity behind the camera. Half of all TV episodes 2018-2019 were directed by women or people of color for the first time. The overall percentage of women and people of color went up from last year’s high of 42.5%, and five years ago’s 21%. “Inclusion has been a priority of our guild for a very long time as we’ve pushed the studios, networks and producers to do better in their hiring,” DGA president Thomas Schlamme said. “While change had been glacial in past years, we’re pleased and incredibly encouraged to see the recent commitment undertaken by the industry.”

NETFLIX ORDERS VIKINGS SEQUEL: The Vikings will continue to storm Netflix. The mega-streamer has ordered Vikings: Valhalla, a sequel to the hit series that is heading into its sixth and final season on the History Channel. Deadline reports that 24 episodes have been ordered from the show’s creator Michael Hirst and studio MGM Television.
