HARRY STYLES TO HOST, PERFORM NOVEMBER 16TH ON ‘SNL’: Harry Styles will return to Saturday Night Live in November. Harry announced in an Instagram post that he will host and perform during the show’s November 16th episode. Styles shared a photo of the iconic SNL announcement board, which listed his name as both host and performer. “SNL – DOUBLE DUTY – NOV. 16,” he captioned the post. The episode will mark Styles’ fifth appearance on SNL. He performed as a member of One Direction in 2012, 2013 and 2014, and appeared solo in 2017.

Ricky Martin To Host 2019 Latin Grammys: Ricky Martin announced that he will be hosting the 2019 Latin Grammy Awards on November 14th. Martin will be joined by fellow hosts Roselyn Sanchez and Paz Vega. This will be Sanchez’s fourth time hosting the ceremony. The Latin Grammy Awards will be celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. The event will be aired live on Univision from the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Martin was present at the inaugural Latin Grammy Awards in 2000. The singer is a three-time Latin Grammy winner and won Latin Recording Academy Person of the Year in 2006. Alejandro Sanz leads with eight nominations including Record of the Year, Song of the Year and Best Pop Song for his track “Mi Persona Favorita” featuring Camila Cabello.

JUSTIN BIEBER’S ‘CUPID’ MOVIE GETS ITS DIRECTOR: It reported last year that Justin Bieber would be voicing the title role in Cupid, an upcoming animated movie produced by Mythos Studios, a joint venture from Marvel Studios founding chairman David Maisel and Justin’s manager Scooter Braun. The project is finally getting underway. The film will be directed by music video director and commercial animator Pete Candeland and developed for the screen by Carlos Kotkin from a story adaptation by Maisel. The story follows the Greek mythological characters Cupid and his own love interest, Psyche, a human royal whose beauty intimidates Cupid’s mom, Aphrodite. Bieber is still on board to voice the character, but the voice of Psyche has yet to be cast.

LIL NAS X’S ‘OLD TOWN ROAD’ IS FASTEST SINGLE TO HIT CERTIFIED DIAMOND STATUS: Lil Nas X’s “Old Town Road” is officially RIAA certified diamond. In doing so, it also smashed another impressive record. Billboard reports that the Billy Ray Cyrus remix of “Old Town Road” officially sold over 10 million units, the first song of 2019 to pass that threshold. In addition, the single – released in April – is the fastest song in RIAA history to accomplish such a feat. Nas achieved another record, becoming the second gay man in music history to have a certified diamond song. Elton John’s double side “Something About the Way You Look Tonight” and “Candle in the Wind” went diamond in 1997. Nas is also the first openly gay man to win the MTV Video Music Award for Song of the Year. “Old Town Road” spent a historic 19-weeks atop the Billboard Hot 100 – the longest in chart history.
