Prince Harry Sues
Prince Harry is declaring war on the British tabloid press. The royal has filed claims in court “regarding the illegal interception of voicemail messages,” a Buckingham Palace spokesperson tells CNN.
This move was made public Friday, days after Harry attacked the bloids for publishing a private letter from his wife Meghan Markle to her estranged father Thomas Markle. The actual filings were reportedly made at the High Court in London by Harry’s legal team on September 27th.
A spokesperson for The Sun‘s parent company, the Rupert Murdoch-owned News Group Newspapers (NGN), told CNN: “We confirm that a claim has been issued by the Duke of Sussex. We have no further comment to make at the current time.”
In his original statement Harry blasted the media: “Unfortunately, my wife has become one of the latest victims of a British tabloid press that wages campaigns against individuals with no thought to the consequences — a ruthless campaign that has escalated over the past year, throughout her pregnancy and while raising our newborn son.”
