CASEY AFFLECK TALKS #METOO: Casey Affleck is here for the #MeToo movement, but has often stayed quiet because of sexual harassment allegations against him. On Dax Shepard‘s “Armchair Expert” podcast, he said: “The way I’m thought of, sometimes, by certain people recently has just been so antithetical to who I really am, that it’s just been frustrating. And not being able to talk about it has been hard because I really wanted to support all but I felt like the best thing to do was to just be quiet, so that I didn’t seem to be in opposition to something that I really wanted to champion.” Producer Amanda White filed a $2 million suit against him, claiming Affleck harassed her; cinematographer Magdalena Gorka also sued him for $2.25 million. He denied the allegations and settled both suits for undisclosed amounts. Affleck is currently promoting Light of My Life, which was inspired by #MeToo.
