CALIFORNIA HANDS OUT TAX BREAKS: Sherlock Holmes 3 snagged $28.85 million from the California Film Commission, the most of any of the 10 films they awarded funds to. Purge 5 received $6.45 million, Little Shop of Horrors snagged $9.64 million and King Richards managed $7.46 million. The CFC estimates that the 10 films they awarded funds to will generate about $310 million in spending by crew members and vendors.

TRINKETS RENEWED: Netflix has renewed the YA series Trinkets for a 10-episode second and final season, with Sarah Goldfinger of Charmed fame joining as the new showrunner. The show follows the stories of Elodie (Brianna Hildebrand), a misfit; Moe (Kiana Madeira), an outsider; and Tabitha (Quintessa Swindell) seemingly perfect, who find themselves at a Shoplifters Anonymous meeting. The second season will premiere in 2020.

FRIENDS LAUNCHES LIVE EXPERIENCE: To celebrate its 25^th anniversary, a series of pop-up entertainment experiences have been launched for Friendssuperfans. Located in NYC’s Soho, the Friends25 space will offer fans opportunities to explore recreations of the show’s props, scenes and costumes. You can stick a turkey on your head, relax and Chandler and Joey’s recliner, learn Monica’s tidying tips or hang out in Central Perk. The experience costs $29.50; tickets go on sale August 2^nd.

TIGERS ARE NOT AFRAID TRAILER DROPS: The first trailer for writer-director Issa Lopez‘s Tigers Are Not Afraid, a horror fable set amid Mexico’s drug wars, dropped Monday. The film follows the story of 10-year-old named Estrella (Paolo Lara), who like many, has been orphaned by the violence, but unlike anyone else, is granted three magic wishes to rewrite her story. The film drops August 23^rd.
