Kucherov ties Tampa single-season points mark in 5-2 win
TAMPA, Fla. — Nikita Kucherov’s daily work is netting record-tying results.
Kucherov tied the Tampa Bay single-season points record with a pair of assists to lead the Lightning to a 5-2 victory over the Winnipeg Jets on Tuesday night.
Kucherov’s two points give him 108 on the season to tie the single-season mark set by Vincent Lecavalier in the 2006-07 season when he finished with 52 goals and 58 assists.
“I just try to work on my game every day and see what happens,” Kucherov said.
