Rehab work to temporarily close Pritchard bridge

PRITCHARD, B.C. — Provincial work on the Pritchard Bridge will close the structure early next month.

The Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure has contracted Surespan Construction to perform the rehabilitation work.

It will start on February 8 and last about a week, and the bridge will be completely closed during that time.

Re-opening is expected on February 15.

Suggested alternate routes for crossing the South Thompson River include the Lafarge Bridge in east Kamloops and the Pine Street Bridge in Chase.
