Canada’s Milos Raonic to face home-nation Nick Kyrgios at Australian Open
MELBOURNE, Australia — Canada’s Milos Raonic will face home-nation favourite Nick Kyrgios in the first round of the Australian Open.
The matchup was announced as part of the Grand Slam event’s draw on Thursday.
Raonic, from Thornhill, Ont., is ranked 17th on the ATP Tour and Kyrgios is 51st. The two have split their career series 3-3.
Denis Shapovalov of Richmond Hill, Ont., will take on Spain’s Pablo Andujar when the Australian Open begins Monday at Melbourne Park.
