Suddenly I ask myself a question. Just because no one else in the house likes marmalade does that mean I can’t have it? I can afford it. I can shop for it. No one says I can’t have it, so why don’t I buy it?

I don’t buy it because I rationalize that it is not worth it if it is ‘just for me.’ Hmmm. What does that say to my psyche? If I’m not valuable enough to buy a jar of marmalade …wait, I am!!!

Do you have anything like that? Something you don’t do, don’t cook, don’t eat, don’t buy, don’t have,  or don’t get because no one in your family likes it or wants it. It’s not so much about the item itself, it’s about your mindset. It’s about doing little things that continually remind yourself that you are worthy and deserving.

It’s time to get your own small pleasures, take a stand, make a point, buy your ‘marmalade!’

Now, I have to go to the store, I think I may even buy a sweet potato!!
