Family left without answers after homicide at Kamloops Seniors Village

KAMLOOPS — A Kamloops woman whose mother died after being assaulted by a fellow resident of Kamloops Seniors Village says she is hitting roadblock after roadblock in her quest for accountability.

Nancy Bradley's mother 84-year-old Emily Houston died in July.

Highway contractor recognized

KAMLOOPS — VSA Highway Maintenance, the company that maintains the Coquihalla Highway between the Logan Lake turnoff and Hope has been named the Contractor of the Year by the provincial Ministry of Transportation.

The award is for VSA's work in the Nicola Service Area near Merritt.

Cache Creek to feel financial burden from flash flood for years

KAMLOOPS — It could be years until the damage from last May's flood in Cache Creek is no longer felt by area residents.

Clogged culverts, damaged streets and flooded homes are slowly being restored but residents are sure to feel another financial blow.
