KAMLOOPS — In a recent report The Centre for the Study of Living Standards outlined the fact that Indigenous people in Canada are underemployed, but the potential impact those Indigenous Canadians could have in emerging job markets could be quite significant.

Three volunteer fire departments receive generous donation from Lions Clubs

KAMLOOPS — This summer's historic wildfire season in B.C. was devastating.

More than 1.2 million hectares burned across the province. Within the TNRD, 215 structures were destroyed, including the Loon Lake Volunteer Fire Hall. The wreckage is gone, but the rebuild has yet to begin.

Bodies removed from B.C. arena following ammonia leak, evacuation order persists

FERNIE, B.C. — The bodies of two men have been removed from an ice arena in southeastern British Columbia following an ammonia leak that killed three people as officials try to piece together a timeline leading up to the deadly incident.
