KAMLOOPS — The Yurt. It's been the go-to dwelling used by the nomadic peoples of the Central Asian steppes for 3,000 years. One adventurous TRU student has taken the idea of a semi-permanent tent, made it his own and is it hoping it inspires others.
ASK Wellness in Kamloops is lobbying for a storage facility for the City's vulnerable population. The idea is based on a concept run by First United Church in Vancouver's downtown east side. They have 200 storage spaces, 150 for plastic bins and 50 spaces for carts and luggage.
