Kamloops real estate on a roll as YVR expats flock to Interior

KAMLOOPS — The Kamloops and District Real Estate Association says the hot housing market is just getting started.

347 homes changed hands in Kamloops last month, a 36 per cent increase over May of 2015.

Overall, the market is trending 30 per cent higher for the year to date.

Vancouver files court injunctions to shut down unlicensed pot shops

VANCOUVER — The City of Vancouver is going to court in a bid to shut down medical marijuana stores that continue to operate illegally.

A statement from the city says injunctions were filed Tuesday to force the closure of 17 stores that have remained open without a business licence.

Climate change scientists ask federal government to reject B.C. LNG project

VANCOUVER — Dozens of international climate scientists are calling on the Canadian government to reject a proposed liquefied natural gas project in northwestern British Columbia, saying it would have dire environmental effects.
