Living with ALS: Kamloops family speaks out about daily challenges

KAMLOOPS — ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig's disease, is a debilitating neurological disease that currently affects around 3,000 Canadians. 

The disease prevents the brain from communicating with the body's muscles, and eventually inhibits speech and movement.

Teddy Bear Mother Goose Picnic promotes play as educational activity

KAMLOOPS — Hundreds of children were encouraged to get outside and play this morning during the 12th annual Teddy Bear Mother Goose picnic at Riverside Park. 

The cloudy skies did little to discourage parents from bringing their children to the outdoor event.
