Thompson Rivers University students are watching nervously as labour tensions unfold between the school and its faculty. Though TRU Faculty Association leaders have been silent, there is word the faculty has voted in favour of strike action.

It's a constant reminder of the ultimate sacrifice our soldiers have made. The Memorial Hill Cenotaph in Kamloops holds hundreds of local names, commemorating soldiers who lost their lives. The historic landmark sits on the corner of 2nd and Battle Street.

There’s trouble in the trades at TRU. Instructors in the Faculty of Trades have issued a vote of non-confidence in dean Lindsay Langill. Langill is out of the country, and was not available to comment on the vote.

It was a project that was intended to revitalize downtown Kamloops, stimulate the local arts community, and provide economic growth to the City. But over the weekend, Kamloops residents shot down the idea of building a performing arts centre at the former location of the Kamloops Daily News.
