New North Shore Community Policing Office opens to the public

KAMLOOPS — The Kamloops RCMP detachment has a lot more space to work with today, thanks to the opening of its new North Shore Community Policing Office.

The Mounties have taken over the former Kia dealership on 7th Street, behind the Safeway store.

Second Surrey shooting in 24 hours sends man to hospital, police investigating

SURREY, B.C. — Police in Surrey, B.C., are investigating the city’s 37th shooting of the year.

The RCMP say officers responded around 6:30 p.m. on Saturday to several reports of gunfire (around the intersection of 75A Avenue and Scott Road).

Two men charged in 2014 Clinton homicide

CLINTON, B.C. — Two men have been arrested in connection to a 2014 homicide in Clinton. 

Kodi Robert Tower, 27, Wyatt Lee Boffa, 26, were arrested on Friday, May 13 and later charged with one count of  manslaughter each in the death of 61-year-old James Painter.
