REPORT: AMAZON HAS AUDIENCE OF 26M: Amazon has kept the size of its viewership under wraps after its multibillion investment in video programming, but Reuters recently obtained internal documents that shed some light on the numbers. Amazon‘s 19 original series as well as acquired series and films drew a total U.S. audience of 26 million as of 2017, per Reuters. Estimates by outside analysts claim Prime‘s total membership hovers around 79 million, meaning a third of its Prime members are active video watchers. Do you subscribe to a streaming service?

SPECTRE A.D. SUES FOR $3.5M: An assistant director on Spectre is suing for $3.5 million in compensation after suffering what has been described as serious injuries during the making of the latest James Bond film. The 66-year-old Terry Madden had his legs crushed after a vehicle spun out of control and pinned him against a camera rostrum during shooting in Austria in 2015. He has undergone a series of operations, and has not received any money from insurers, he claims in the suit. He is suing to cover medical costs and lost earnings. He is suing B24 and EON Productions.

PIERCE BROSNAN SAYS PAN BAHAR CHEATED HIM: Actor Pierce Brosnan is telling Indian authorities that he was “cheated” by Pan Bahar, who he endorsed in a 2016 ad campaign. He was featured in a commercial for their breath freshener, which was later shown to contain ingredients linked to cancer. In response to the state government’s demands for an explanation for his association with the brand he said he was “cheated by the company, as the latter did not disclose the hazardous nature of the product and other terms and conditions of the contract of advertisement.”

WANDA SYKES SET TO HOST GLAAD MEDIA AWARDS: Comedian and black-ish star Wanda Sykes will host the 29th Annual GLAAD Media Awards in L.A. on April 12th at the Beverly Hilton. “Wanda Sykes’ humor, wit, and status as one of the most visible out women in Hollywood make her the perfect host for the 29th Annual GLAAD Media Awards in Los Angeles,” said Sarah Kate Ellis, GLAAD President and CEO. “At a time when LGBTQ acceptance and equality are eroding, it’s more important than ever that we celebrate the best in LGBTQ representation, and share a few laughs along the way.” This year, the ceremony will honor Britney Spears and the Emmy-winning Big Bang Theory star Jim Parsons. Other guests include Lena Waithe, Adam Rippon, Chloe Grace Moretz and Gigi Gorgeous.
