KATY PERRY’S HIDDEN TALENT: Katy Perry has been holding out on us. The 33-year-old singer and American Idol judge unveiled her hidden talent while taping the singing competition TV show. Katy shocked her fellow judges that she’s able to puff out her neck like a frog. A demonstration of her ability was enough to give fellow judge Lionel Richie the willies.
JUSTIN BIEBER SHARES BEACH PHOTOS: Justin Bieber didn’t have anything to say to his social media fans Thursday night, but he did share a couple of pictures. In both photos, Bieber stands on a beach posing serenely, eyes closed, arms outstretched, seemingly at peace with the world. The singer recently celebrated his 24th birthday on March 1st and reportedly went go-karting with some friends.
JASON DERULO DEBUTS FIFA WORLD CUP ANTHEM ‘COLORS’: Jason Derulo is flying the flag for the 2018 World Cup. He’s just released “Colors,” the Coca-Cola song for the 2018 FIFA World Cup, the soccer tournament that’s held every four years. This year, it’ll take place in Russia from June 14th to June 15th. The title “Colors” refers to the fact that the players wear their country’s “colors” while competing in the tournament. On Twitter, Jason writes, “Represent your country – Represent your flag. Be proud of where you’re from & who you are.” In a statement, Jason says, “It was a pleasure working with Coca-Cola to create the anthem for the 2018 FIFA World Cup. It’s a tournament that celebrates athletic excellence and I’m honored to provide the soundtrack.”
PENTATONIX SHARE DUA LIPA/AALIYAH MASHUP: Pentatonix have mashed up Dua Lipa’s 2017 smash, “New Rules,” with late R&B icon Aaliyah’s 1998 hit, “Are You That Somebody?” While the songs are decades apart, the singers seamlessly blend the percussion of Timbaland’s production on Aaliyah’s track with melodies from “New Rules” to craft their new mashup of the two tracks. The track is the latest advance from the a capella group’s forthcoming full-length, PTX Presents: Top Pop, Vol. I, set for release on April 13th. The album also includes Pentatonix’s take on Camila Cabello’s “Havana.”
