FEBRUARY BOX OFFICE HITS ALL TIME HIGH: Black Panther helped boost the February box office to an all-time high of more than $1 billion, comScore reports. The Disney/Marvel smash hit represented 43% of all ticket sales in the U.S. and Canada in February. (Yep, that means Black Panther brought in an astounding $428.8 million).

NICKELODEON LAUNCHES SLIMEFEST MUSIC FESTVIAL: This summer, Nickelodeon is bringing a SlimeFest to the U.S. SlimeFest debuted overseas to great acclain; so far, Liam Payne, Zedd and Flo Rida have signed on to play at the Fest, which has been set for Saturday, June 9, and Sunday, June 10, at Huntington Bank Pavilion at Northerly Island in Chicago. Nickelodeon stars like Kel Mitchell and Benjamin Flores Jr. (Game Shakers), Riele Downs and Ella Anderson (Henry Danger), Breanna Yde (School of Rock) and Daniella Perkins and Owen Joyner (Knight Squad) also are also slated to appear. Slime too of course.

OSCAR VIEWERSHIP DOWN: Overnight returns show ABC‘s Oscars telecast bringing in an average 18.9 overnight rating. Compared to last year’s telecast, viewership plummeted 16%. And even last year’s ratings were bad: the second-lowest in the Academy’s history. All three major TV events this year-the Golden Globe Awards, the Grammys and the Super Bowl-have all been down sharply.

NETFLIX DEBUTS KEVIN SPACEY-FREE HOUSE OF CARDS TRAILER: Robin Wright‘s Claire Underwood is ready to rule. In the first trailer for the final season of Netflix‘s House of Cards, she stands behind her desk in the Oval office. “We’re just getting started,” she says. Kevin Spacey, of course, has been ousted from the show after sexual misconduct allegations against him were revealed. Netflix is also tabling the biopic Gore (about writer Gore Vidal), which Spacey starred in and directed.
