KATY PERRY’S PUP STARS IN NEW DOG GROOMING BOOK: Katy Perry’s Micro Teacup Poodle, Nugget, has a new gig – starring in director and dog groomer-to-the-stars Jess Rona’s newly released book, Groomed (Knock Knock), showcasing portraits of dogs in various stages of the grooming process, shot by Rona. The photo book is not only evidence of Rona’s talent with scissors and a comb, but also a great window into her humor. “Grooming is like training a man,” jokes Rona, who works out of a private home studio in Lake Hollywood by referral only. “You have to make dogs think that they’re in charge.” Over the years, Rona – who lives with her husband, actor Eric Edelstein, and their dogs, Chupie and Meemu – has built up a star-studded clientele, including Perry’s Nugget; Natasha Lyonne’s pup, Rootbeer; and Instagram sensation Marnie The Dog, all of whom appear in the book.

SEND BRUNO ON VINYL FOR VALENTINE’S DAY: This Valentine’s Day, instead of a regular card, you can send Bruno Mars’ songs to your loved one. Just make sure they have a turntable. Hallmark is introducing Vinyl Record Cards, a collection of three different cards that each come with a 7-inch vinyl record. Each record includes two songs, with three different artists to choose from: Bruno, Aretha Franklin and INXS. The Bruno record includes the songs “Just the Way You Are” and “Marry Me.” The INXS card includes the band’s hits “Need You Tonight” and “Never Tear Us Apart.” The Aretha card features the songs “Respect” and “Think.” The cards cost $12.99 each, and extra postage is required to mail them. Hallmark plans to launch new Vinyl Record Cards for birthdays later this year.

KELLY CLARKSON & MAROON 5 TO HEADLINE NEW IOWA FESTIVAL: An event in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, called newbo evolve, will be headlined by Kelly Clarkson and Maroon 5. The event, scheduled for August 3-5, is named after the town’s NewBo District, and is described as celebrating “the creative Bohemian spirit through music, fashion, dance, food, and technology.” Maroon 5 performs on August 4th, while Kelly’s the headliner August 5th. In addition to musical performances, the festival will feature speakers including Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian, filmmaker John Waters, stylist Carson Kressley and designer Christian Siriano.
