Kelly Wants Her Puppy

At Sunday night’s 60th Annual Grammy Awards, host James Corden announced that he would be giving out puppies as a consolation prize to the nominees who didn’t win the prestigious music award and one music superstar is looking for her furry little friend.

Kelly Clarkson – whose Meaning Of Life hit “Love So Soft” lost to Ed Sheeran’s “Shape Of You” for Best Pop Solo Performance – hilariously took to Twitter after her loss to tell Corden that she was looking for her promised new playmate. “I mean, what the hell @JKCorden and @RecordingAcad I didn’t get my puppy consolation prize?!” she tweeted. “I’m calling bullsh*t. Y’all owe me a puppy.”

The bit began during Sunday night’s show where the Late Late Show host said, “I should say to all the nominees that who are not going home with a Grammy – I don’t want anyone to be upset tonight, so the good news is nobody goes home empty-handed because all night we will be handing out consolation puppies.”

Adorable little pups were then handed to the other nominees in the Best Comedy Album category after comedian Dave Chappelle won the award, with Jerry Seinfeld receiving a “biter” and Jim Gaffigan being handed a pup that Corden said wasn’t potty trained. That was seemingly the end of the puppy hand-outs, but either way clearly Clarkson felt robbed.
