ED SHEERAN AND CHERRY SEABORN ENGAGED: Ed Sheeran is engaged to his longtime girlfriend, hockey player Cherry Seaborn. “Got myself a fianc just before new year. We are very happy and in love, and our cats are chuffed as well xx,” he captioned Saturday’s Instagram photo of him kissing a laughing Seaborn. Sheeran proposed to Seaborn last month after about three years of dating. They reportedly have known each other since grade school.

IMAGINE DRAGONS SHARE FIRST LOOK AT DOCUMENTARY: Imagine Dragons have shared the first look at their new documentary Believer. According to the official synopsis, the film “follows Mormon Dan Reynolds, frontman for the Grammy Award-winning band Imagine Dragons, as he takes on a new mission to explore how the Mormon Church treats its LGBTQ members.” The documentary premiered this weekend at the Sundance Film Festival and will be broadcast on HBO this summer.

RIHANNA, DJ KHALED TO PERFORM AT THE GRAMMYS: The Recording Academy has announced Rihanna, DJ Khaled and Bryson Tiller as additional performers for this month’s Grammy Awards ceremony in New York. “We’ve got some exciting news to kick off the weekend! @djkhaled, @rihanna, and @brysontiller are set to perform at the 60th #GRAMMYs on January 28,” the academy tweeted Friday. The trio will perform their smash single “Wild Thoughts” on the show. Hosted by James Corden, the gala will air on CBS.

MAROON 5 DELETES TWEETS AFTER TEASING BTS COLLABORATION: Maroon 5 is keeping mum on a potential collaboration with South Korean boy band BTS. The band appeared to hint at a future project with the K-pop group in tweets Wednesday before erasing the posts. Screenshots show Maroon 5 initially responded with a smiley face to a fan who tweeted, “PLEASE MAKE A COLAB WITH @BTS_twt.” The band answered another inquiry by posting a gif of Elmo shrugging. Excited fans liked Maroon 5’s initial tweet over 15,000 times. Maroon 5 followed up with a cheeky response Thursday when a fan asked, “But what really is the answer?” “not sure you can handle it,” the band wrote. BTS has yet to address the rumors.

HALSEY, SAM SMITH AND MILEY CYRUS SCORE GLAAD MEDIA AWARD NOMINATIONS: Halsey, Sam Smith and Miley Cyrus are among the nominees for this year’s GLAAD Media Awards. The awards recognize and celebrate the fair, accurate and inclusive representations of the LGBT community in different forms of media. Sam is openly gay, while Halsey identifies as bisexual. Miley identifies as pansexual, meaning she’s attracted to people of any sex or gender identity. The three each scored a nod in the Outstanding Music Artist category. GLAAD is also honoring JAY-Z’s song and music video “Smile” with a special recognition award; the song is about how Jay’s mother Gloria Carter came out as a lesbian. Other nominees this year include Call Me By Your Name, The Shape of Water, The Handmaid’s Tale, This Is Us and RuPaul’s Drag Race. The GLAAD Media Award ceremonies take place in Los Angeles on April 12th and in New York on May 5th.

CAMILLA CABELLO BECOMES FIRST WOMAN IN THREE YEARS TO HIT NO. 1 WITH DEBUT ALBUM: Camila Cabello’s debut solo album Camila has debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard album chart. According to Billboard, that makes the former Fifth Harmony member the first woman in three years to top the chart with a debut album. The last woman to do it was Meghan Trainor in 2015, with Title. Camila’s album, which features the smash hit “Havana,” sold 119,000 units in its first week, better than expected. Camila is also one of a handful of women who initially charted with a group before going on to hit No. 1 with a solo album. Those women include, among others, Beyonc, Gwen Stefani, Lauryn Hill, Stevie Nicks and Diana Ross. With Fifth Harmony, Camila had three Top 10 releases. Finally, Camila is the youngest woman to debut at No. 1 with her first full-length album since 2013, when Ariana Grande did it with Yours Truly. Camila is 20 years and 10 months old. Ariana was 20 years and two months old.
