Justin Timberlake Drops New Song: Watch Here

Justin Timberlake’s Super Bowl halftime show is one of 2018’s most anticipated musical events and, in collaboration with show sponsor Pepsi, Timberlake has made a video teaser that provides a taste of what his set will include.

The clip opens with career footage of Justin performing hits like “Sexyback” and “Cry Me A River.” Then we see Timberlake exiting a black SUV at a performance or rehearsal venue. He describes how high the stakes are when millions of people are watching.

“I am getting an opportunity to have the stage to myself. I believe it’s also the place where there’s nothing wrong with giving people what they want,” he says. During the preview, Justin is seen circling up with his backup dancers, surveying the stage and carrying a guitar. “For 12 or 13 minutes, we’ll have a really good time,” he says.

Super Bowl LII will air on February 4th from the U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Meanwhile, fans may still be waiting on Timberlake to apologize to Janet Jackson after the uproar over their 2004 Super Bowl appearance, but he says it’s all good. He talked to Beats 1 radio about the aftermath of his Super Bowl halftime performance in which he accidentally exposed Jackson’s breast. The incident has become one of the sporting event’s biggest controversies and resulted in Jackson disappearing from the scene for a while after the negative publicity that followed.

When it was announced that Timberlake would be the performer for the upcoming 2018 Super Bowl, many on social media took him to task for seeming to abandon Jackson amid the scandal and not publicly apologizing. Timberlake told Beats 1’s Zane Lowe that naturally the incident came up during discussions about him returning to the Super Bowl.

“To be honest, [there] wasn’t too much of a conversation, just one of those things where we go, ‘We’re not gonna …,’” he said. “What do you want me to say, like, ‘We’re not gonna do that again?’”

The singer said he “stumbled through it” the first time at the Super Bowl. “You know, to be quite honest, I had my wires crossed,” he said. “And it’s something that you have to look back on and go, like, ‘OK, well, you know, you can’t change what’s happened, but, you know, you can move forward and learn from it.’”

He answered “Absolutely” when asked if he and Jackson were afterward able to “kind of resolve the situation, like, were able to make peace of the whole thing?”

“Yeah, and I don’t know that a lot of people know that,” Timberlake said. “I mean, I don’t think it’s my job to do that, because you value the relationships that you do have with people.”

In other news, Timberlake has released his new single “Supplies” and its accompanying video, which features an appearance by Pharrell Williams.

The track is the latest from Timberlake’s highly anticipated studio album Man of the Woods, due out on February 2nd.

In the futuristic video, Timberlake sits and stares at a wall of television monitors broadcasting news clips about racism, misogyny and violence. He wanders a street filled with costumed, white-painted people, alligators and a man with a necklace made of handguns. Timberlake accompanies these powerful images with a love story depicted by warm embraces, face-stroking, and circles of fire spinning around him and his lover.
