Stars Take Sexual Assault Pledge: Watch Here

Dec 8, 2017 | 5:45 AM

W Magazine challenged several celebrities to speak up against sexual assault. The move comes on the heels of Time‘s decision to pick “Silence Breakers” as 2017’s Person of the Year, which in turn is a reflection of the passion with which the public has embraced the #MeToo movement.

The #MeToo movement stems from the sexual assault scandals that have plagued major Hollywood figures, starting with Harvey Weinstein, in recent months.

  • In the same spirit, W asked several top stars to use their voice and their platform to simply say “I will not be silent anymore.” It’s a pledge to stand up for themselves and others, any time they see or hear about sexual assault.
  • Jennifer Lawrence, Emma Stone, Nicole Kidman, Gal Gadot, Jake Gyllenhaal, Daniel Kaluuya, Hong Chau, Jessica Chastain and many others signed on for the challenge and got together with W to produce a video, released Thursday.
