Uma Thurman put the world on notice recently, promising that she'd have something to say about Harvey Weinstein soon, when her rage had dissipated sufficiently to issue a coherent response.
On Thanksgiving, Thurman made good on that pledge, issuing a searing takedown over the disgraced movie mogul's alleged sexual misconduct.
- Paired with an image of the character she played in the Kill Bill films (produced by Weinstein), she noted that she had "a few reasons" to be angry herself, a reference to the #MeToo movement in which women are acknowledging their own past as sexual assault victims.
- Thurman added: "I feel it's important to take your time, be fair, be exact, so… Happy Thanksgiving Everyone! (Except you Harvey, and all your wicked conspirators – I'm glad it's going slowly – you don't deserve a bullet) -stay tuned".
- Several celebrities championed her statement, including Rose McGowan, Selma Blair, Amber Tamblyn and Rosie O'Donnell.
- Meanwhile, three of Weinstein's most vocal accusers, McGowan, Asia Argento and Annabella Sciorra met up on Saturday to trade war stories. Argento's boyfriend, chef and TV personality Anthony Bourdain, cooked for them. They shared pics from their meet-up on social media, with McGowan calling it "magical."
