Devout Catholic Mark Wahlberg is seeking forgiveness for his participation in Boogie Nights.
Speaking to Chicago Inc., the Oscar-nominated star said: "I just always hope that God is a movie fan and also forgiving, because I've made some poor choices in my past."
- When pressed for more details, he mentioned his participation in the film that launched Paul Thomas Anderson's career: "Boogie Nights is up there at the top of the list."
- Wahlberg played Dirk Diggler, an impressionable youth-turned-porn-star. He made his remarks beside Cardinal Blase Cupich at UIC Pavilion in Chicago as part of an outreach program aiming to draw young people to the church.
