Lorde is a New Zealand-born songstress who now calls New York home. And the singer previously got a taste of life as a real New Yorker, after experiencing subway issues while riding around Manhattan.
Lorde was among the many people who got stuck on the F train subway for four hours in New York City last year. The 20-year-old singer told the story during her appearance on Late Night With Seth Meyers on Monday.
"Sitting on the floor for four hours," Lorde said. "I don't know if they noticed [it was me], but all I could think about is that I had a little oatmeal in my bag and if anyone finds out, this is going to be a prized commodity." Lorde also performed her hit "Perfect Places."
Lorde, born Ella Marija Lani Yelich-O'Connor, is currently promoting her second studio album Melodrama.
