Ryan Reynolds may play an anti-hero in Deadpool 2, but in real life, he saves the day.
Reynolds recently gave a young fan named Daniel Downing the surprise of his life by FaceTiming with him from the set. Downing, 5, has been diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer called pontine glioma.
- Downing's mother Stephanie said the phone call-turned-FaceTiming session was "absolutely fantastic."
- She tells the Plymouth Herald: “I’m so happy for Daniel - it’s something he wouldn’t normally have been able to do and he was so excited. He told all his friends and his teachers. It’s nice to see him so excited because he has been a bit down lately.”
